task 11

My finished product is exactly the same as my hand drown block design except it has a few more things added to it, but my finished product looks much more professional than my block design
By using photoshop i was able to make my background photo and text on my magazine cover blend in well
My product is ideal for my target audience as it is very eye catching to the younger generations and i have made it so it has offers and articles about stuff my target audience would be interested in
By making this magazine cover i can now use photoshop better than i ever could and i had never previously used the Macs

The main technical skill i have gained is being able to use photoshop alone

Primary and secondary research

Primary research is when you're collecting some sort of data by directly talking to people about what they know and their opinions.
Secondary data is when you read some data somebody has already published or written, because they are an expert in that field and you collect data that way.

Analysis Audience Feedback

From people filling out my questionaire for possible titles and fonts this really helped me because it helped me decide what to actually put on my magazine, and let me knew it would attract my target audience

Most people thought bass was suitbale for the title of my magazine as it had that edge and related to music, few people thought chalk duster would be suitable but i ended up changing my title font to give it more of an edge and i think the font i chose suits my magazine perfectly

I think i could have made more of a colour scheme rather than random colours to make it look more professional but other than that i'm happy with the outcome

block designs

Unit 18c

My final advert design is quite similar to my block design but I had to change it slightlyas I didn’t think it would look ideal to what I had wanted it to be and so i made it more intersting, I changed the layout slightlyand the background so it looks more efficient, i feel these changes i made, made my shoe advert more professional looking than my block design

Permissions for photos

When you are taking a picture that is going to be used in advertisement you need to have a model release form, which explains that money that shall be paid to them for the photos.
If an image you're using already exists you must get permission from the copyright holder to use it for commercial use.
Generally, if you did not take the photo, you are better off to get permission, especially if you are using the photo to earn money, like in advertisement. If it’s not for a money making endeavor, and the photo is a protected work, you may be able to use it under a thing called "Fair Use".

Feedback Analysis

For Feedback on my shoe advert, i produced a word document of some questions for 6 people to fill out so i would understand what different's views are

Looking at the feedback i gathered from these people i can see there are many things i could have done better, but overall most liked the general look of my shoe advert. People thought i laid out my advert well as it's clear and easy to read, most people thought the colours of my advert stood out but they didnt really match, i had no colour scheme, People were 50/50 on my font for my title some people thought it was too girly and wouldn't suit my target audience so males wouldn't really buy this shoe.
Taking all of this feedback into consideration next time i make an advert i will take into account everything everyone my audience has said to me and make these improvements

Finished shoe advert

task 1 18C

My advert fits all the CAP codes used by the Advertising Standards Agency. It doesn’t contain any rude or inappropriate images and it doesn’t  lie to anyone for example; it is a The Beatles inspired shoe range, but we are not claiming anyone from The Beatles has anything to do with this shoe range.

7c task 11

My finished product and my design idea look very alike but my finished product is much more efficient and real looking, by taking my photos myself, it looks better than a random picture off the internet, my product is suitable for my target audience entirely i feel my magazine would suit them perfectly. I have gained technical skills in how to use photoshop and making a magazine cover

Analyzing audience feedback on my magazine

When people filled out my questionnaire this really helped me choose the title name and font, and reassured me that what i have chosen is right for this type of magazine
They also liked how the magazine was set out and said this would convince them to read it.

Task 7 18B

Brand Names 1. now - This would be good Because these shoes are the latest in the now trends, its also a short brand name which would be easy to remember for everyone. 2. Destiny - This is a very attractive word which grabs peoples attentions, and hopefully makes them think they're destined to won a pair of these shoes. 3. shoez - it is good because the z gives a current effect but it can be to much and may throw off customers. 4. pow - it is eye catching name but it isn't exactly relevant to the sshoe industry. 5. The lonely hearts club - this would be a good idea as it comes from The Beatles and each shoe could be named after a different song, which would attract a wide audience of music lovers. Product Names 1. Yellow Submarine - This was a well known popular Beatles song and it sounds happy. 2. Strawberry Fields Forever - This was one of the Beatles most known songs and has a nice calming feel to it. 3. pearl - this sounds pretty and fashionable. 4. escape - this shows off the free feeling of the shoes. 5. Diamond - this sounds pretty for the female audience.

Task 5 18B

This is lucy, she is 17, and wearing converse, so we already know she's interested in this style of shoe, She matches our target market perfectly; wearing them as an everyday shoe. She would buy our product because they have the comfort and style she'd like just for everyday wear.

Task 2 18B

This shoe is made for extra comfort without that bulky look you could get in most shoes, it has the fashion to it still so this will be our unique selling point as you can have comfort and still look nice. This basic shoe will not be covered in logos at all as this seems to put people off wearing it, we will have our logo just on the bottom of the shoe printed on, and also a star printed on the outside of the shoe, our patterns make the shoes unique enough already. This will be cheap as its only simple printing process. Our advertising budget is 2.5 million as we will create a television advert to be played in the evenings in an advert slot from a popular programme so many people will view it. With this money we can afford professionals to shoot the advert, they will bring their own equipment so we don't have to worry about funding this. My target audience ranges from people aged 14-36 just looking for comfortable fashionable shoes you wont look silly in.

Task 1 18B

I am going to create a shoe for everyday wear, to be fashionable to go with all types of clothing, i'm going to start a new company to sell this shoe, this company will be called 'The lonely Hearts Club' which is from The Beatles so it'll make this shoe look unique. My product will be comfortable product suitable for all ages; available in all sizes, and it will be available in many various colours and patterns due to its canvas material, This type of shoe will be very similar to converse due to its wide range of buyers and everyday wear, but this shoe is more advanced so they'll be longer lasting and we have made this shoe specially for extra comfort.
